1. Who we are

Cyted (getcyted.com) provides AI search-visibility audits and monitoring. For data collected through this site, Cyted is the data controller. Contact: hello@getcyted.com.

2. What we collect and why

Account data — your name, email and password hash — to operate your account (contract). Audit data — the website URL, business category and location you submit, and the audit results generated from them — to provide the service (contract). Report-unlock emails — when you unlock a shared report, the email you submit, to deliver access and follow up about the product (legitimate interest). Billing — handled by Stripe; we store your subscription status and Stripe identifiers, never your card details (contract). Service logs and error reports, to keep the service working (legitimate interest).

3. Where your data goes

We use processors to run the service: Stripe (payments), our hosting and database providers, an email delivery provider (transactional email), an error-monitoring provider, and AI providers (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic) which receive the business category, location and buyer-style questions needed to run an audit — not your account details. We do not sell personal data.

4. Audit results describe businesses

Audit reports summarise what public AI engines say about businesses and their competitors. This is information about businesses (typically companies), sourced from the engines' public answers; where it identifies an individual (for example, a sole trader), our lawful basis is legitimate interest in reporting what public AI systems already state, and the rights below apply.

5. Retention

Account and audit data are kept while your account is active and deleted on request. Billing records are kept as long as UK tax law requires. Report-unlock emails are kept until you ask us to remove them.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and request portability. Email hello@getcyted.com and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies only: a session cookie to keep you signed in and a per-report cookie that remembers a report you have unlocked. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

8. Changes

We will post any changes here and, for material changes, notify account holders by email.
